The Socket Occasional Lamp represents part of a study exploring the boundaries between minimalist sculpture and practical everyday objects by Danish design duo Norm Architects. A weighty, heavy lamp cast from brass, Socket Occasional Lamp is designed to fit perfectly on the desk, shelf or a nook in the home that needs to be lit. The inserted socket is easily removed, so that – with or without a bulb – the lamp also functions as a paperweight.
